Glowbeat Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Glowbeat does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location. The app creates a random identifier on your device (an "install ID", shown in the app as "Player ID"; it is not linked to your identity and is not the advertising ID) and sends the following to our server so we can keep the game fast, fair and stable:

We do not store your IP address in our database. Gameplay statistics and Daily Beat scores are deleted automatically after 13 months, crash reports after 90 days. Our web server's access logs (which include IP addresses) are deleted automatically within 14 days.

Our server is located in Malaysia and is run by our hosting provider. To recover from technical failures only, we back up the server's database once a day and keep each copy for 7 days on the same server, and our hosting provider backs up the whole server once a week, stores these backups separately in the United States and keeps only the two most recent. Data that has been deleted can therefore remain in a backup for up to about two weeks before it is overwritten. We are based in Japan, so your information may be processed outside your country of residence.

Understanding of the external environment: We store data on our server in Malaysia (backups of the whole server are stored in the United States). We take security control measures with an understanding of Malaysia's system for the protection of personal information (the Personal Data Protection Act 2010) and that of the United States (there is no comprehensive federal personal information protection law; instead, each state has its own laws).

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Glowbeat is free and supported by ads from Google AdMob (full-screen and optional rewarded videos only; no banners). Google may collect and use device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address and usage data to show and measure ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you will be asked for consent through Google's consent message, and you can change your choice at any time from Settings. On iOS, personalized ads are only used if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Learn more: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google Privacy Policy.

Ads in Glowbeat are limited to family-appropriate content ratings. Watching ads never changes which pieces you get.

3. How we use data

To run and improve the game (balancing difficulty, fixing crashes, measuring which features people enjoy), to run the Daily Beat world ranking, and to show ads. We do not sell personal data.

4. Children

Glowbeat is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

5. Your choices and rights

You can turn off personalized ads (Ad privacy in the app's Settings where consent applies, or your device's ad settings). You can delete the data linked to your install ID at any time: in the app, open Settings → Delete my data (deleted immediately; the app then switches to a new Player ID), or email klynovate@exdonuts.com with the subject "Glowbeat data deletion" and your Player ID (we delete it within 30 days). Details: Delete your Glowbeat data. Uninstalling the app deletes the data stored on your device.

6. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on a protected server.

7. Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date.
